INTRODUCTION OF ESUM
Engineering Society Universiti Malaya (ESUM) or in National Language, Persatuan Kejuruteraan Universiti Malaya (PKUM) was established in 1958, together with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Malaya. As one of the earliest established societies in the university and the largest in the faculty, ESUM serves as the umbrella society of the faculty and recruits more than 700 members annually from different disciplines, namely, civil, chemical, mechanical, electrical, and biomedical engineering.
As the bridge between our faculty management and students, ESUM made an effort to act as the umbrella society for all the clubs and student chapters in our faculty. We will be conducting and bringing in various activities throughout the year, such as industrial visits, self-growth talks, competitions, workshops and networking events. After decades of working with the faculty’s undergraduates, ESUM is finally celebrating its 65th anniversary this year. All these long years of history will not be ignored and ESUM will continue to serve the students with their best interests in mind.
